About R Ellis Brown

My Story​

R. Ellis Brown lived in Brooklyn for most of his life in neighborhoods where community support meant the difference between a kid giving up and a kid fighting back. He draws on those experiences to write stories about young people who refuse to stay silent when something is wrong. JR Versus Stinky Dumping Ground is his first middle grade novel. He wrote it because he believes that kids are never too young to learn that their voice matters.
